    Niños del Arco Iris Foundation

Niños del Arco Iris Foundation contributes to the Andean Children and teenager’s education and health care. Through this non-profit organization, we make our contribution there too, collaborating with many children and teenagers and their families who live in poverty, to improve their living conditions. The incomes that they receive from the people who visit them, having lunch or staying the weekend, we all together will them the opportunity to move forward from chronic malnutrition and have a nutritive lunch and improve their health care and complement their elementary school education. Let’s give them the chance… because every child has the right to be loved, be educated, be respected… to BE.

    Q’euña Trees Reforestation

    qeuna varon

A year ago belong the Pampamarca’s villagers, we help them to plant around 1000 seedlings in the surrounding farmlands of the village. The Q’euña tree (Polylepis, also known as the Andean Oak) is a popular tree in this region, the local people plant seeds from surviving tree located in this area.

Thirty villagers along the Auri Team, put them in the ground. We hope that in the next two or three years  2-3 years, these trees will help the environment.

The Queuña (or Qiwiña, as it is known in the native language of Quechua), is also known as one of the coldest trees in the world. This tree grows up over the 14,750 feet (4,500 meters). This tree helps in ecological functions and it also contributes the regulation of the climates. The forests of these native trees also provide a natural environment that supports the flora and fauna that are unique to these ecosystems – as many as 110 species of birds and 9 species of mammals, including the puma and tiny Andean deer.

Auri Travel, worked along with the community, contributing in a sustainable way to the environment, we donated some other plants to individual families to plant on the ground around their homes. It is also important to teach children the importance of their native trees.
