DAY 1

Arrive to the Traditional Trujillo City! (-)

Stand in the right spot and the glamorously colonial old Trujillo’s streets!

This morning, once you arrive in Trujillo, you will be transferred to your hotel to settle down and rest a bit. Then enjoy of a fantastic city tour through the colonial center of Trujillo.

After that, you will have a guided visit to the archeological site Huaca del Sol y la Luna, inclusive visit to the tomb of Huaca de la Luna and the interesting museum on site.

DAY 2

Chan Chan – Huanchaco- Huaca del Brujo + Señora de Cao – Chiclayo (B)

Be impressed by all the amazing places that this fisher City has to offer!

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you will start the tour exploring the famous archeological site of Chan Chan. During the tour, you will explore the most beautiful sites such as: Huaca Arco Iris and Palacio Nik-An which shows different nature, bird and fish motives on its adobe walls.

Lunch in the fisher town of Huanchaco. In the afternoon you travel to Chiclayo and along the way you will visit the historical tomb of Huaca del Brujo and its interesting museum of Señora de Cao.

DAY 3

Museo Sican – Bosque de Pomac – Tucume – Brunning Museum (B)

Enjoy the cultural diversity given by pre-Inca civilizations settled in the northern regions.

Today the tour starts with a visit to the Museum of Sican. In this museum you can find a great variety of articles made by golden, many of them were found in Bosque Pomac.

Leave this museum and make a lovely hike through the dry tropical forest of Bosque de Pomac (Batan Grande). Marvel yourself with beautiful bird species, typical of this area and learn more about its history.

You continue the tour to the adobe pyramids/ ruins and ceremonial plateaus of Tucume.

Your last visit is to the well-known Bruning Museum. This museum includes a very complete collection about the history of the surroundings of Lambayeque. You can admire detailed textile and ceramics from the Chimu and Vicus culture, ceramics + golden objects and jewelry from the Mochica, and Chimu culture and several other objects from the Lambayeque, Moche and even from the Chavin and Inca culture.

Huaca Rajada – Museo Tumbas Reales (B)

Delight the breathtaking Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipán!

This morning you will visit the archeological site of Huaca Rajada, the original tomb of the Lord of Sipan.

Your next destination is Tumbas Reales. This museum shows a great collection with many (golden) objects that were found in the original tomb from the Lord of Sipan.

After this tour we bring you to the airport or bus terminal.

A Dream Trip Backed by an Amazing Team Our trip to Peru was planned and flawlessly managed by Lizbeth. Amazing trip of a lifetime in Peru carefully curated by Auri Peri Travel Oustanding experience with Lizbeth at Auri Peri Travel. It truly was a carefully curated family trip of a lifetime and one that I would highly recommend. We stayed in Belmond hotels throughout Peru and they were amazing. Highly highly recommend staying at the Belmond at the top of Machu Picchu. After hiking 16km to the summit, this hotel was a welcome refuge and allowed us to break up the hike and the tour around Machu Picchu into 2 days. It is a very small hotel so book early. The only part of the trip I would not recommend was the last 3 nights we spent on the "Pure Amazon" boat. It was not worth the lengthy travel to and from and also was not a good financial value. There was nothing much to see. The boat is beautiful and we met another family that made the time onboard fun but other than that not something I would recommend.
